Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have hit multiple relationship milestones in recent weeks. First, we saw Pete calling Kim his "girlfriend" for the first time, then the pair *finally* went Instagram official.
Soon after, fans spotted one of Pete's tattoos which looked a lot like it said "Kim", causing speculation that the couple had made things even more permanent. And now, Kim has spoken out to explain the story behind Pete's multiple tattoos dedicated to her.
Speaking on The Ellen Show, Kim revealed that Pete has "a few" tattoos of her, including her name *actually* branded onto his skin.
Kim told host Ellen DeGeneres, "Yeah, he has a few tattoos. A few cutes one that he got. But that one, the 'Kim' one isn't a tattoo. It's actually a branding ... Because he wanted to do something that was really different."
The SKIMS founder continued, "First tattoo he got, I was like, 'Oh, so cute, thank you, oh, my God.' Second, whatever, I'm like, 'Oh, that's so cute.' But that's what tattoo people do, right? They get tattoos of what's going on in their life. So I was like, 'Am I special?'"
Asked whether Pete has three tattoos of her, Kim clarified that it's "a little more than that". Patiently waiting to see the others, please and thanks, Pete.
Revealing details on Pete's other tattoos, Kim added, "The branding is my name. The other ones are like cutesy things. I think my favourite one, it says here [pointing to her collarbone], 'My girl is a lawyer.' And that one's really cute."
Explaining the branding of her name, Kim continued, "I just think he was like, 'I want something that's there that I can't get rid of ... 'Cause he's in the process of getting rid of his arm tats and his neck tats. So he's like, 'I don't want to be able to get rid of it or to cover it up, and I just wanted it there as, like, a scar on me.'"
She went on to tell the audience, "It's so cute, guys."
Elsewhere in the interview, Kim opened up about going Instagram official with Pete, saying, "I have the cutest pictures of us, and I wanted to be like, 'Oh, my God, we're so cute.' But then I'm like, 'You know, don't be so desperate, don't be posting so much. Just give a glimpse.'"
She continued, "I don't know what the right thing to do is. Like, I haven't dated since before Instagram existed. I don't know what the rules are."
"I encourage my friends and the people I love to be happy, and I went for it," Kim added. "I was like, you know what, I'm in my 40s, f**k it. Just go for it. Find your happiness. I went for it. And I took my time and I found it, and it feels so good. And I want to hold onto that forever."
