Kim Kardashian said Kanye West’s religious journey has made him a stricter father during a “Kardashian Takeover” episode of “The Real,” adding that compromise is the key to their marriage.

On Tuesday, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian appeared on the daytime talk show to dish on their recent trip to Armenia and their anticipated Christmas card. Kim also spilled on life since her husband of five years proclaimed his devotion to Jesus, launched his Sunday Services — an invite-only gospel performance series — and released his October 25th album, Jesus Is King.

“I do think, that he is my husband, so I obviously want to honor him and what he’s feeling. And he’s been going through this life change and it’s mostly about the kids,” said Kim. Together, the couple shares four children, North 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 22 months, and Psalm, 5 months.

“You know the kids are getting older. He’s very cautious about what we have in the house,” Kim said, adding that televisions have been removed from the children’s bedrooms, along with makeup from North’s room. In September, Kim told E! News that she “got in trouble” for letting North experiment with lipstick on social occasions, saying, "I think he had it. He changed all the rules."

“...He’s had this epiphany of being this — not that he wasn’t an amazing dad — but being a little bit more strict as a dad and being very forceful on the imagery that’s in our household and what they see, and I actually agree with it. But I’m always going to be me,” clarified Kim. “And so we had that discussion and that fight.”

The KKW Beauty founder’s last comment drew cheers from the audience and approving nods from moderators Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love, and Adrienne Houghton. “And at the end of the day, that’s what marriage is,” she continued. “He’s going to do things that I don’t agree with, and I support him and vice versa. We were having this conversation of just, ‘What is too much?’ and, I am a mother of four and I am going to be 40 next year...”

In 2018, according to People, Kim told Ellen DeGeneres that Kanye isn’t always appreciative of her sexy Instagram photos. “You can get in trouble with your husband sometimes over too many photos like that,” she told the talk show host.

And on a recent “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” episode, the famous couple argued over Kim’s skin-tight Thierry Mugler dress for the Met Gala in May, which required her to squeeze into a corset.

Kanye revealed on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” that he wasn’t comfortable with the super fitted look, saying, “...I went through this transition where being a rapper, looking at all these girls and looking at my wife, like, ‘Oh, my girl needs to be just like the other girls showing their body off.’ I didn’t realize that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone who is married and the father of now … about to be four kids. A corset is a form of underwear. It’s hot, for who though?”

Kim replied: “So the night before the Met you’re going to come in here and say that you’re not into a corset vibe? You’re giving me really bad anxiety....You knew last night I had really bad anxiety and I don’t need any more negative energy and for you say you’re now not into me wearing a tight dress.”

“You are my wife, and it affects me when pictures are too sexy,” said Kanye.

“You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this, and just because you’re on a journey and transformation doesn’t mean I’m in the same spot with you,” Kim retorted.

On “The Real,” Kim referenced West’s “beautiful journey” as “such a great example for our kids,” but added, “You know, there’s also that fine line of staying firm and doing what you feel comfortable with. And I take a little bit of him and I respect what he’s saying, and I totally compromise.”
