Kim Kardashian West’s Hair Was the Most Important Thing at Yeezy Season 3

For Paris Fashion Week in March, Kim Kardashian West shocked the world by debuting platinum blonde hair. Before getting pregnant with her son Saint, she had a last hurrah with a bottle of peroxide. While she quickly went back to her brunette roots (most likely anticipating her months away from chemicals), the look will certainly be written into the Kardashian-Jenner history books (because you know there will be plenty of biographies and autobiographies in our future).

But now, as her second child is a few months old and she’s back to being in the public eye (she’s been hiding out in her Calabasas mansion, hitting the gym hard before becoming a daily part of the news cycle yet again), it seems the reality star is ready to revert eyes back to her, thanks to her new statement look.

Knowing that she’d have to make a big splash at her husband’s Yeezy Season 3 fashion show during New York Fashion Week (because she obviously couldn’t let him have this one moment to himself), she arrived in New York on Wednesday with dark locks in cornrows, but took her seat at Madison Square Garden with a decidedly different hairstyle. Sitting next to Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour, Kardashian wore a hole-ridden sweater and what appears to be a blonde wig. It’s possible she borrowed a wig from her little sister Kylie Jenner for the occasion, but it’s also entirely possible that Kim spent her Thursday at the salon getting peroxide put on her locks.

Sorry, Kanye. Sure, the clothes were cool and the drop of T.L.O.P (The Life of Pablo) was pretty epic, but when Kim Kardashian West has a new ‘do, Lamar Odom makes his first public appearance since overdosing, Caitlyn Jenner wears a hole-filled white ensemble, and Kardashian children are in the house, there’s much more important things to pay attention to.
