Kim Kardashian confesses that having a surrogate is 'really frustrating'

On Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian not only opened up about hiring a surrogate for her and Kanye West's third baby, but she also revealed the challenges that came with it. "Getting a surrogate, and finding someone that you really trust, really is so much more difficult of a situation than you could really imagine," said Kim, who also shared that due to her "really bad deliveries" in the past, doctors didn't feel like it was safe for her to carry her own baby. "I definitely had a hard time making this decision," said Kim. "Should I do it? Shouldn't I do it? What do we really want? This particular surrogate, she was the best fit for our family, so we just had to go with it." Kim did end up hiring a surrogate, who successfully became pregnant with Kimye's baby girl. However, after sharing the baby news with her family, Kim admitted that it felt kind of weird. "It is frustrating, like, to not be able to do it on your own. It is a weird dynamic. Like, I go to all the doctor's appointments, and I try to be really present. But when you're not carrying it yourself, like, it is such a fine balance of how much you're gonna be in their lives," Kim shared with her sisters Khloé and Kourtney. Kim also revealed in the "Baby One More Time" episode that she wanted to stay mum about her surrogate because she worried for her safety. "I definitely want to keep it private. Like, I don't want people to find my surrogate. Like, I don't want them to harass her. Like, she doesn't know how to handle stuff like that. This isn't her world," said Kim. She continued, "I don't want people following her and chasing her. It can be dangerous. I know how dangerous it was. I almost got into the craziest car accident when I was pregnant, because the Paparazzi was chasing me. So it's just, like, a safety thing." At the end of the episode, while Kim expressed that she was "really thankful" for her surrogate, she couldn't help but also admit how frustrated she felt, as she said, "Of course I want to know every last detail that's going on with my baby, and that's super frustrating. But I really trust my surrogate, and I don't want to be that person that's trying to control her every move. It's gonna be a long, hard process, but I'm gonna take it one day at a time, and, hopefully, it just gets easier."
