Kim Kardashian West does not operate in the same reality we regular folks do. When Kardashian West posts a nude selfie, it makes tabloid headlines. When she wears cornrows, they magically turn into a new hair trend called boxer braids, and when she gets dressed for a summer party, she turns up in an outfit that looks like it came from a fall ’16 transitional-dressing feature.
The reality TV star posted an image on Instagram at Revolve’s Hamptons event this weekend. For the occasion, Kardashian West donned an oatmeal-hued mock-turtleneck sweater dress from Trois with over-the-knee denim boots. It was decidedly not cold in New York this weekend, so seeing Kardashian West in such a buttoned-up, early autumnal look was jarring, to say the least. Scrolling through Revolve’s Instagram photos from the event reveals lots of pretty girls fluttering about in crop tops, flowy skirts, airy jumpsuits, and sundresses — you know, summer stuff.
We guess Kardashian West is so far ahead of seasonal trends that the actual temperature is of no concern to her look.
