Killington To Keep Skiing Through Memorial Day

Despite a warm and wet winter/spring, the mounds of snow on Killington's 'Superstar' trail is holding up fairly nicely. The Vermont resort is known for having the longest season in the east, and this year certainly wasn't an exception.

Local news station WCAX-TV Channel 3 News stopped by Killington earlier this week to talk to the hundreds of skiers still scoring slushy turns. The big news is that Killington officials expect skiing to go down on Superstar through Memorial Day.

Check out the full report below:

Killington's 'Superstar' is one of the most iconic trails in the Northeast. It's regularly one of the first trails to be open, and is always the last trail to close.

It also hosts the best women Slalom and Giant Slalom skiers in the world each Thanksgiving weekend for the Killington Cup.

Bravo to the snowmakers at Killington for keeping the best end of the season tradition going. Their heroic efforts throughout the winter make skiing through the month of May possible.

Quick aside that has nothing to do with the actual skiing at Killington- did you notice the dude in the LMFAO hat?!?!?! I wanna talk to that guy.

Not only is that the first person I've ever seen wearing merchandise from the now-defunct pop duo of the aughts, but it appears to be from a set they played at one of the Tao nightclubs?!

So not only did that man pay to see LMFAO at a nightclub he actually purchased merchandise from the show!!! Wild.

I'm definitely not yucking his yum, I think we're all entitled to like what we like, but it was such a wild detail of the video that I just had to call it out.

More power to ya, LMFAO-hat guy. You're skiing slush bumps at Killington and I'm not. You win.
