Khloé's Revealed This Detail About Her Son’s Name During 'The Kardashians' Premiere

The ongoing saga that is Khloé Kardashian’s relationship with Tristan Thompson has become a lot more complicated over the past few months. News broke on July 13 that the former couple was expecting a second baby together via surrogate.

In July, a rep for Khloé, 38, told People in a statement that The Kardashians star’s baby was conceived in November. "Khloe is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing,” the rep said. "We'd like to ask for kindness and privacy so that Khloé can focus on her family."

Khloé and Tristan are already parents to daughter True, who is 4. The pair split up (for the second time) earlier this year after reports surfaced that Tristan had conceived a child with model Maralee Nichols—he later confirmed the story in an Instagram Story post—while he and Khloe were still together.

“Khloé and Tristan are not back together and have not spoken since December outside of co-parenting matters,” a source told People. “The baby was conceived via surrogate before it was revealed to Khloe and the public that Tristan was having a baby with someone else in December.”

Khloé and Tristan had a rocky road to get to this point. And now that the baby's been born, people have a lot of questions. Here’s a look back along with the latest details about their newborn.

First, what is a surrogate mother?

Surrogacy, in case you’re not familiar with it, is a process where someone else gets pregnant with, carries, and delivers a child for a couple or individual, according to Yale Medicine. A surrogate mother will carry an embryo for a couple or person.

Often, a fertilized egg from the parents' egg and/or sperm is implanted in the surrogate's uterus, and other times, the surrogate can donate their own eggs.

April 12, 2018: Khloé gives birth to daughter True.

A camera crew for Keeping Up with the Kardashians captured the moment Khloé gave birth to her daughter with Tristan.

"It's just so overwhelming," Khloé said on the show, per E!. "You're experiencing a miracle take place and I've always dreamed of being a mom, and I think I came to the place where I didn't know if that was actually gonna happen for me and so the fact that we're actually in a delivery room for myself this time, for me to give birth, it's just unreal and I feel so blessed. This is something that I've waited for forever."

The immediate lead-up to True’s birth was dramatic, though: just days before, news surfaced that Tristan had repeatedly cheated on Khloé, and there were plenty of videos as proof.

“Tristan has been consistently cheating on Khloé,” a source told People.“He’s a serial cheater. And there will be more women to come out of the woodwork.”

March 2021: Khloé talks about wanting a second kid.

Khloé has repeatedly talked on both KUWTK and The Kardashians about wanting to give True a sibling. She also said on a March 2021 episode of Lady Parts with Sarah Hyland that the pandemic screwed up her plans to have a second child.

“If you do need assistance in fertility, it's much more challenging during COVID," she said. "My plan was to have kids closer in age, but with COVID and everything, my plan's been a little delayed. I definitely do want more kids. I have so many brothers and sisters. I think it's such a blessing— especially during these times—to have a family member or people that you can play with and rely on and just have a buddy through life."

June 2021: Khloé and Tristan break up.

Khloé and Tristan broke up and got back together several times after True was born, including in 2019 after he allegedly cheated on Khloé with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods, per TMZ.

But Khloé and Tristan spent a lot of time together when the COVID-19 pandemic started, as captured by KUWTK cameras, and the two ended up getting back together. They broke up in June 2021 after reports that Tristan was spotted entering a bedroom with three women at a party, per E!.

"They had been working through the cheating rumors for the last couple of weeks, but Khloé told Tristan he lost all of her trust and the relationship could not be repaired," a source told E!. "Khloe really tried, but ultimately, felt too betrayed by him. She's done and says she will not go back."

October 2021: They get back together

On The Kardashians, Khloé said that she and Tristan reunited just before her sister Kourtney Kardashian got engaged to Travis Barker. "We're good. We're actually in a really good place," she said on the show.

"We just got back together. He's been going to therapy a lot. There's just been a lot of effort on his part."

November 2021: Their surrogate gets pregnant

Khloé and Tristan had previously created embryos, and their surrogate, who has not been publicly named, became pregnant in November, a rep told People.

December 2021: Khloe and Tristan break up again.

Maralee filed a paternity suit against Tristan alleging they had sex while celebrating Tristan’s 30th birthday in March 2021, per E!.

In January 2022, Tristan confirmed the reports in an Instagram Story post, writing of Khloé, "You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you."

Khloé later shared on The Kardashians that she found out about the scandal when the world did. "You’re not even going to give me a heads up before the rest of the world?" she said on the show. "It's just an additional slap in my face. It's humiliating. I'm embarrassed."

June 2022: Khloé starts dating someone new.

News broke that Khloé is dating someone new, and details are scarce. E! News reported that Khloé just started dating a “private equity investor” and that they were introduced by her sister, Kim Kardashian.

July 2022: A new Kardashian baby is born.

On July 28, Khloe and Tristan's surrogate gave birth to a baby boy prematurely at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, per Entertainment Tonight.

During the season 2 premiere of The Kardashians, fans were able to see footage of Khloe holding the baby while Kim took videos. Khloe later FaceTimed with True, since she couldn't be with them at the hospital.

However, Tristan shows up at the hospital later on after Khloe allows him to meet the baby. "I've been on the fence about having Tristan come to the hospital or not," Khloe explains. "But Tristan wants to be here, so I just figured why not let him come? I'll never get this moment back."

September 2022: Khloe hints at baby names during the season 2 premiere of 'The Kardashians.'

Names are a pretty big deal in the Kar-Jenner clan. And after a lot of online chatter and speculation, Khloe (and True) dropped a major hint on what her son's name could be.

When Khloe calls True after her surrogate gives birth, True refers to the baby as "Snowy," to which Khloe jumps in adding, "His name is not Snowy!"

While that nickname is truly adorable, Khloe revealed that she's looking to give her son a name that stays with "T" to match with True, per ET.

Where do Khloe and Tristan stand now?

At the moment, it sounds like the pair is going their separate ways.

Welcoming a new baby amid relationship chaos isn't the easiest to go through. But during her confessional, Khloe shared that she's looking forward to putting her relationship with Tristan behind her and basking in the joys of motherhood.

"Now I finally get to start the healing process," she said during episode one. "Now, I finally get to start enjoying my life with two kids now and figuring this out...This is gonna be day one, and this is gonna be the start of something positive, and happy and beautiful," per ET.
