Kelsea Ballerini Fans Weren't Ready for Her Surprise IG Ahead of “Heartfirst” Tour

As Kelsea Ballerini continues promo for her new album Subject to Change, she has shared various fun photos from her busy schedule. But there was one hidden gem among the glam shots that threw fans for a loop and many weren't prepared to see the "Heartfirst" singer in a past era.
In a July 27 post to Instagram, the country singer shared a series of pics featuring her in an all-black suit ensemble. With her hair styled in a bubble ponytail, the Tennessee native looked ready to throw herself into the world of promotion once more.
"✨back to work✨," she simply captioned the snaps. Although fans loved seeing Kelsea camera-ready that wasn't what got them going. When her followers kept scrolling through the collection of pictures, they stumbled across a throwback photo of her wearing a striped shirt, glasses and barrettes pinned in her hair.
Reacting to the surprise old pic mixed in with her usual glam shots, fans quickly swarmed the "Miss Me More" musician's comments section to voice their opinions on her past aesthetic.
"The last picture is giving ‘do [you] wanna come over and play with my american girl dolls’ vibes,” one fan wrote in Kelsea's comments section. "Omg I had glasses JUST LIKE THE last pic!! Iconic," another added. And a different follower was definitely relating to the artist's early childhood moment, writing: "The last pic looks exactly like me when I was little."
Now, this isn't the first time Kelsea has shared a heartwarming childhood photo. While a rarity, she did post another one back in May 2021 in honor of Mother's Day. In the picture, a young Kelsea poses next to her mom, Carla. "Each other’s biggest cheerleader since day one. love you mom," she wrote alongside it.
