Kelly Rowland and Ciara Sing Christmas Carols to Bring Holiday Cheer to Some Sick Children

Kelly Rowland and Ciara gave the gift of song to bring some holiday cheer to children who are spending Christmas in hospital this year.

“Singing #JingleBells With @KellyRowland for Princess Erin. @MrBarryBlack on the guitar. What a special day! @WhyNotYouFDN??,” she wrote in the caption.

Rowland also shared her excitement for singing and visiting the hospital’s patients, writing on Instagram, “Thank you so much to @ciara & @seattlechildrens For having me! The smiles I saw yesterday made my heart smile! I had so much fun!!! Can’t wait to do it again! XO.”

The hospital also shared a photo of the two singers with patients, writing, “It warmed our hearts to see patients enjoy such a holly jolly, very merry day in the playroom thanks to @Ciara, @kellyrowland and @amazon!”

Suzanne Weir, a patient’s mother, told the hospital the ladies “brought a smile to these kids’ faces. It helped get our minds off things and made us feel better. I felt like a weight had been taken off my shoulders. We could just relax and have fun.”

Ciara joined the board of director for Why Not You Foundation in early December and has helped spread the organization’s message to the more than 50 million followers on her social media platforms.

The organization was founded by the Seattle Seahawks quarterback in 2014 and is dedicated helped children and preparing youth to become leaders.

Ciara’s position on the board of directors focuses specifically on supporting programs that directly empower girls and young women locally worldwide.

The pair — who married in July 2016 at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England and just welcomed daughter Sienna Princess in April — visit the Seattle Children’s hospital weekly.
