  • Kelly Ripa, 48, just broke a Guinness World Record for Most Ballet Dancers En Pointe Simultaneously.

  • The Live with Kelly and Ryan host, Ryan Seacrest, and 245 dancers held en pointe for a full minute this morning on live TV.

  • Ripa shared an Instagram post about her progress last night, and the attempt was no walk in the park.

This morning, Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host Kelly Ripa helped break a Guinness World Record for Most Ballet Dancers En Pointe Simultaneously. Over the course of August, the television personality used social media to rally strangers into joining her for the record-breaking attempt.

To become world record holders, Ripa, co-host Ryan Seacrest, and more than 200 others gathered on set at Live with Kelly and Ryan and held ballet en pointe for a full minute. Though they may have made the challenge look like a breeze, holding en pointe is no easy feat!

The Live with Kelly and Ryan Twitter account shared a video of the eager dancers who came out to support Ripa and her crew during their Guinness World Records attempt as they waited to hear if they had actually done it. After an announcement confirmed their accomplishment, you can see lots of cheering and celebrating from the crowd.

Ashton Kutcher stopped by to help encourage the crowd before the big attempt, and he even took home a Guinness World Records title of his own for being the first person to reach over one million Twitter followers. Who knew!

The show's Instagram account shared a video of Ripa and Seacrest unveiling Kutcher's special Guinness World Records plaque, and he was so surprised. "It’s adorable to see how emotional @aplusk got when receiving his @guinnessworldrecords! 😂 Congrats!" the Instagram caption read.

Ripa has been prepping for weeks learning to hold en pointe so she could help pull off the record attempt. It’s no secret that she's insanely fit—you can see her toned arms as she co-hosts Live with Kelly and Ryan in the mornings, and we’ve definitely gotten a glimpse of her ripped abs on Instagram with her bikini vacation photos.

But, professional ballet dancers spend years learning to hold en pointe for extended periods of time, and the 48-year-old mother of four had just weeks to prepare. Last night before the big day, Ripa posted an update of her en pointe ballet progress to Instagram, and it looks like she had it down.

“This job really keeps me on my toes,” Ripa wrote in the caption of the post. “Calling all ballet dancers! We are attempting @guinnessworldrecords Most Ballet Dancers En Pointe Simultaneously tomorrow sep 10. Go to KellyandRyan.com for details.”

In early August, Ripa shared another photo to Instagram of her practicing the pose. “Practice makes......um.......something? Join #kellyandryan #guinessworldrecord attempt-most #balletdancers #enpointe simultaneously 📍📌🖊❗️🗡🔪,” she captioned the pic, in which her husband, Riverdale actor Mark Consuelos, commented “Reason 1001 why ...♥️♥️♥️.”

Ouch! Though Ripa can en pointe like a pro, ballet isn’t the only exercise she’s doing these days, but she definitely loves to dance. The television personality’s trainer Ann Kaiser told PopSugar Fitness that dancing is her favorite type of workout and she knows more than 75 choreographies.

She also performs Kaiser’s circuit-based interval class, which combines “a box and resistance bands for one high-intensity total-body workout.” Additionally, Kaiser told the outlet that Ripa’s workout routine includes cardio and sports conditioning. What doesn't she do?!

Judging from her latest en pointe progress shot, it looks like Ripa was at the top of her game today for the big Guinness World Records attempt. Congratulations Kelly, Ryan, Ashton, and everyone else who broke a Guinness World Records today!
