Kelly Ripa often praises her husband, Mark Consuelos. She'll use her social media to highlight how the Riverdale actor is a loving husband, a devoted dad and more. However, in one of the latest episodes of Live with Kelly and Ryan, Ripa called out the fact that Consuelos's photography skills could use a little work.

In the episode, the Live co-host was seen holding a photo against her chest and she started off with a disclaimer, saying: “This is not a brag.” And when Seacrest tried to take a peek at the photo, she said, “Wait! Wait for it.”

She continued by saying, “You know, I've discussed this on the show many times...Let's say something tragic happened to me on vacation. We would have no way of knowing that I was ever there because there's never a picture of me on vacation because I'm the photographer.”

It was then that Ripa dove into the backstory of the photo, revealing that her new memoir, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, was the catalyst for this comical moment. “So, I said to Mark: ‘Will you do me a favor? I'm trying to promote this book,’” she said. The host then asked her husband, “Can you take a picture of me? I'm gonna make it funny like, me casually lounging, not stressed out at all about this book tour.”

In response to this, Seacrest cut in and said, “A glamorous photo?” To which Ripa replied, “One glam shot of mommy.”

But after Ripa asked Consuelos to take a “thirst trap” of her, she recalls that it wasn't a very long photoshoot. Ripa says, “He takes the phone, he rips it out of my hand, he goes [clicking sound], and I go, ‘Are you sure you got it?’ [And he says], ‘Yeah I got it.’”

Finally, Ripa prepared to show the photo to the crowd. “You ready? Everybody ready?” she asked. “There it is.”

In the photo that the talk show host displayed, she is seen laying in a pool, sporting an orange, two-piece swimsuit and wearing a large sun hat. However, the way the photo is cropped, her head is almost entirely cut off.

“Look at those abs,” Seacrest exclaims. “Forget the abs!” Ripa responds. “Where's my head? That could be anybody! That could be Elle Macpherson for all we know.”

Although Consuelos's photography skills may need some fine-tuning, Ripa has certainly been able to snap some successful thirst traps of her hubby, which she loves to share to her Instagram (like the one seen above).

And while this marketing tactic may have failed, Ripa has been finding other ways to promote her new memoir. In another recent Instagram post, she was seen signing books and she wrote, “T-minus less than a month before Live Wire drops. If you like long winded short stories, and I know you do, head to the link in bio to preorder a signed edition. Maybe you’ll get the one in this photo! Just kidding, that’s for my mom.”

Good thing Ripa didn't ask Consuelos to shoot the cover for her book!
