Kelly Clarkson and Seth Meyers get day drunk on 'Late Night'

On Late Night with Seth Meyers, pop superstar Kelly Clarkson joined Meyers for some good old fashioned day-drinking. And, needless to say, by the end both were sufficiently wasted.

Clarkson and Meyers concocted drinks based on people in their lives. The Simon Cowell consisted of hot sauce, vodka, bitters, and more hot sauce. Clarkson’s Blake Shelton contained bourbon, whiskey, Southern Comfort — because he’s a Southerner — and chunks of banana, in honor of Shelton’s girlfriend, Gwen Stefani.

After downing a few, Meyers wanted to give Clarkson some mild brain teasers in the form of the cognitive test Donald Trump recently passed.

Then Meyers decided he wanted to sing for Clarkson — one of her biggest hits, “Since You’ve Been Gone.” Meyers is, to put it mildly, not much of a singer, but that didn’t stop him from giving it his slurred all. At one point, he was belting out the chorus just inches from Clarkson’s face.

Clarkson and Meyers ended the day-drinking session by heading to the roof, and each yelled things the other one wrote at the top of their lungs.

Meyers yelled, “I tried breastfeeding! It kinda worked!”

Then, through laughter, Clarkson yelled, “I’m only doing this because I’m contractually obligated to do press for NBC!”

Late Night with Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of Late Night free on Yahoo View.
