Keke Palmer’s First Kiss Was With Corbin Bleu and We’re Highkey Jealous

There’s nothing like walking down memory lane with the rich and famous to learn a bunch of behind-the-scenes tea. Our Jaugust cover star (yes, we combined “July” and “August” and ~“Jaugust”~ was born), Keke Palmer, joined us for our new series: Breakdown Breakdown. We had her watch scenes from some of her iconic TV and movie roles before asking her to give us some never-before-revealed deets. TBH, I am here for the Jump In goss.

Y’all remember it, right? It was 2007 and the A+ Disney Channel movie starred our girl Keke and Corbin Bleu. Yep, well, Keke told us that when the two kissed in that film, it just so happened to be her very first kiss.

We also brought her back to 2010—her True Jackson VP days—in an infamous episode where she told her crush Jimmy (her costar Robbie Amell) that she liked him and he admitted that the feelings were mutual. Who else was screaming at this moment when they were in middle school?! And when they finally kissed??? I’m squealing, that was just the icing on the cake. Keke told us they had do more than 20 takes just to get the angles right and everything.

Next, we had her watching clips from Hustlers, where she got to work alongside other boss-ass women like J.Lo, Constance Wu, Lizzo, Cardi B, and Lili Reinhart. And, oh, don’t worry, we definitely threw some Akeelah and the Bee content in there.
