Keke Palmer Elevated Her Maternity-Style Game in a Sparkling Cutout Gown

Keke Palmer's maternity style just got a glam red-carpet upgrade.

On January 4, the Nope star, wearing a sparkling Michael Kors gown with rib cutouts, attended the 2023 New York Film Critics Circle Awards at Tao Downtown in New York City. After arriving at the event, Palmer hit the red carpet with director Jordan Peele and posed for a few solo shots, cradling her baby bump. For her makeup look, Palmer opted for a classic smoky eye and glossy lip look.

Of course, the 29-year-old superstar did not walk away empty-handed. Keke Palmer finished off the night by taking home the award for best supporting actress for her role in Nope. “Such a cool night. Thank you again to the New York Film Critics Circle for this honor," Palmer wrote on Instagram alongside a series of personal photos from the evening. "Thank you @jordanpeele for that incredible introduction. I really am so grateful for the way you appreciate my artistry.”

She added, “As I've continued to grow I sometimes wasn’t sure if there was a 'place' for all the things I do or want(ed) to do but, I just kept doing me cause that’s all I could do. Loving and leaning deeper into my passion. And as the saying goes, the girls that get it get it…. u know the rest 😆!”

Palmer, who has been open about her struggles with polycystic ovary syndrome, announced her pregnancy on December 3 during her first hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, inspiring many women with PCOS to share their own stories.

“Honestly, this has been the biggest blessing, and I am so excited,” she said at the time. “Guys, I'm going to be a mom! Even though some people feel a little weird about me having a baby because I was a child actor, I just want to say: Look, I'm 29. I'm grown. I have sex. I own a home. I stormed the Capitol on January 6. You know, things adults do! I'm kidding. You all know I'm the same person I've always been, and I'm proud of that. As a matter of fact, when I first got into comedy and I dreamed of standing on this stage, I asked myself: Keke, who will you be? Will you be like a Maya Rudolph? Eddie Murphy? A Kristen Wiig type? And now that I'm here, I can tell you exactly who I am. Baby, I'm Keke Palmer.”
