Keenan Allen – yes Keenan Allen – intercepts the Jets' Bryce Petty

Keenan Allen is enjoying the best season of his career. Entering Week 16, the Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver ranked fifth in the NFL in yardage (1,197), while earning the first Pro Bowl selection of his five-year career. Now though, he can add an interception to his already impressive résumé.

With time expiring in the second quarter against the New York Jets, Allen found himself playing defense — in prevent coverage — hovering around the goal line. Jets quarterback Bryce Petty lofted a Hail Mary from just inside the Chargers’ 50 and Allen did what he does best: He made a play on the football.

The 7-7 Chargers need to win out to have a chance at one of the AFC’s wild-card spots.
