  • In an exclusive clip from Yellowstone's "Touching Your Enemy," Kayce Dutton (played by Luke Grimes) and Dan Jenkins (played by Danny Huston) go head to head.

  • Since the Paramount Network series debuted in 2018, the Dutton family has been trying to save their ranch from land developers like Dan.

  • Season 2 of Yellowstone resumes on Wednesday at 10 p.m.

Forget Malcolm Beck: Dan Jenkins is still the ultimate enemy on Yellowstone. Although last week's episode had Yellowstone fans thinking that the Beck brothers were the biggest problem for John Dutton and his family, this exclusive clip for GoodHousekeeping.com from this week's episode "Touching Your Enemy" proves otherwise.

First, let's get the full picture: During the first season of Yellowstone, Dan was introduced as "the bad guy" trying to take over John Dutton's sprawling Montana ranch. His plan? To build subdivisions surrounding the ranch in attempt to lure tourists to Bozeman to experience the quintessential cowboy lifestyle. But John Dutton isn't about to give up his land to this sneaky businessman. Instead, he has tasked his son Kayce with finding ways to take Dan down. Kayce took this command seriously in season 1 and even went so far as to kidnap Dan and hang him from a tree. Many fans suspected that Dan would die — but to the Dutton family's dismay, he persevered.

That brings us to this explosive moment between Kayce and Dan where the Dutton heir is accusing the businessman of killing the ranch's cattle in the previous episode. In the clip below, Dan denies it, and, as you'd expect, Kayce isn't a fan of his response. In true Yellowstone fashion, the two men battle it out with guns, glass shards, and a few (too many) punches.

Based on the Dutton family's tumultuous relationship with Dan, there's a good chance that another all-out brawl will happen before the season ends. Danny Huston, who plays Dan, even confirmed that things are heating — er, tightening — up in season 2. "The noose is not only tightening around his neck, it’s also tightening around the story, and things are becoming tighter, like the skin of a drum," he told TV Insider. "And many things are starting to happen and some sinister ingredients are being introduced and that requires sometimes an alliance between enemies." So, take that for what you will (and tune in Wednesday night).
