Katy Perry Wore a Sheet Mask in Public With Her Mom, as One Does

Devotees of sheet-masking know it's easy to get pretty into the skin-care regimen — especially considering how prolific and versatile sheet masks are these days. Katy Perry has just elevated sheet-masking to an art form by doing it while running errands.

As we all know, sheet-masking takes time. When you have 20 minutes to chill out with some Netflix, masking while doing nothing and allowing your facial muscles to relax is indulgent. But when you don't have down time? Masking is out of the question. At least, that's what we thought.

Earlier this week, The Cut reported Katy Perry and her mom stepped out of a doctor's office in Beverly Hills in matching sheet masks — completely undeterred by the fact that sheet masks look a little creepy when worn in public. (Not to mention the fact that they can be a real pain to keep in place if you're not sitting perfectly still.)

Jason Diamond, a plastic surgeon and apparently the doctor Perry and her mom were visiting for a little post Mother's Day bonding, even shared a video:

We must say, major props for hydration efficiency here. Perhaps the trick is wearing sunglasses over the sheet mask to pin it in place à la Perry? If anyone judges you for testing the theory out in public, just tell them it's #trendy to moisturize while on the move.
