Katy Perry Proves Spring Makeup Is More Than Soft Pastels
Katy Perry loves an on-theme beauty look as much as the rest of us, and at Elton John’s 70th birthday party, the singer went all out.
Opting for a graphic look the iconic singer would undoubtedly approve of at his big bash, Perry wore the perfect spring makeup look — forgoing any trace of pastels.

Her makeup artist, Anthony H. Nguyen, gave Perry a swipe of teal liner in a cat-eye shape, accenting her eyes with a dot on each lower lid.
We’ve seen this trend pop up on red-carpet stunners Emma Roberts and Zoe Kravitz, and models wore the look on the Dior Haute Couture runway, rocking star-shaped sequins instead of eyeliner.

Perry completed her dotted beauty with a mauve matte lip for a touch of spring. The graphic makeup complemented her bold Céline earrings, and her messy, slicked-back hair gave her a rock-star edge.
You can play up the look with a bold color or dramatic cat-eye, as Perry did, or keep it simple with a smaller dot and minimal makeup, using your pupil as a guide to where to place the dot.
