Katy Perry arrived at the 2019 Met Gala looking like an actual chandelier with three layers of light-up candles surrounding her sparkly silver Moschino dress. The night's theme was "Camp: Notes on Fashion," which the pop singer completely played into.

Perry walked the carpet solo. Had she taken her fiancé Orlando Bloom, it would've been their first Met Gala red carpet together.

But even though they didn't walk the 2018 Met Gala red carpet together, the couple did make a statement there. The two accessorized their Prada looks with matching Tamagotchis. The theme was "Manus x Machina," and Bloom told reporters his toy was his "tech contribution."

After three years of on-and-off dating, Perry and Bloom officially announced their engagement in February. Perry posted an Instagram of the two, with a new ring on her finger, and the caption: "full bloom" It's been reported that the ring is 4.5 karats and cost $5 million.

Perry and Bloom first met in 2016, broke up in February 2017, with a source saying, "They both still love each other very much, though, and getting back together could happen once they have some space."

They then stayed amicable throughout their split before reconnecting five months later in August. They made their first red carpet appearance together in September 2018 at the Gala for the Global Ocean.
