Katie Holmes found an effortless transitional look between summer and fall as she ventured out in New York this week.

Spotted strolling around the city, the “Batman Begins” actress mixed together seasonal pieces in a voluminous-sleeved sweater with a midi-length light-wash denim skirt from Levi’s; similar designs from the brand retail originally for $90 but can be found on sale for $45 at Levis.com.
As for footwear, Holmes opted for her go-to all-white low-top sneakers. The pair with its exposed stitched and layered panels resemble styles the actress has previously frequented from Common Projects. The Original Achilles silhouette showcases white uppers with a white rubber sole and finished with a foil-stamped factory ID on the heel. The sneakers retail for $425 and are available at Nordstrom.com.
Holmes’ mom-chic look echoes another outfit that she debuted at the beginning of the month in yet another Levi’s denim skirt. She matched the darker-wash design to a classic white T-shirt, a printed mask and Prada shades. The look came to a close with the “Dawson’s Creek” alumna’s beloved double-strap black sandals.
Thought to be traditionally “ugly” in the fashion world, Holmes made the expansive list of celebrities (such as Heidi Klum, Chris Pine and Kendall Jenner) switching out their sleek heels for orthopedic-looking or sport-leaning sandals like iterations from Teva, Prada and Birkenstock

The 41-year-old is known for her top-of-the-line style, often revisiting her go-to colder weather ensemble: an oversize coat with streamlined pants and easy-to-wear shoes. She matches the combo with everything from Veja sneakers to flared-heel Dorateymur boots.
