Mare of Easttown—er, we mean Kate Winslet—has sold her Chelsea penthouse for $5.3 million, approximately six months after it hit the market at an asking price of $5.69 million. The buyer? An anonymous shell company.

Located at 532 West 22nd Street in New York City, this four bedroom, 3.5 bathroom pad boasts a 1,700-square-foot roof deck, 13 foot-tall ceilings, a gas fireplace, and whitewashed wide plank oak floors. There’s also an open chef’s kitchen, which features a farmhouse sink, butcher-block cabinetry, a sizable center island and breakfast bar, and commercial-grade appliances—like a Sub-Zero fridge and a vented six-burner Viking range. Winslet and her ex-husband, Sam Mendes, purchased this sprawling penthouse in 2004, for $4.99 million.

Before it was listed for $5.69 million in November of 2020, this apartment was available to rent for $30,000 a month. This 3,018-square-foot space is located in a five-story building that was built in 1930, and it even boasts a massive custom walk-in closet, as well as an en suite bathroom with a clawfoot soaking tub, a double console vanity, a rain shower, and beadboard wainscotting. There’s even a laundry closet with an in-unit washer and dryer. Plus, when it comes to Manhattan’s famous skyline views, there’s no shortage of sights to see here, thanks to 30 loft windows that offer views of the Hudson River and the High Line.

Clearly, this pad is nothing like the one Winslet’s character calls home in Mare of Easttown! Take a look at the penthouse here, featuring photography by Travis Mark.
