Kate Winslet Just Made A Rare Appearance With Her Daughter Mia Threapleton, And I Honestly Didn't Even Know She Had A Daughter

Kate Winslet's daughter Mia Threapleton may already be 22 years old — but they just made their first-ever red carpet appearance together.

Over the weekend, the mother-daughter duo stepped out for the 2023 BAFTA Television Awards to support their roles in the I Am anthology series.

While Kate and Mia aren't often pictured together, it was a special night for the pair as Kate took home Best Actress and the show won the award for Best Drama.

The series marked the duo's first collaboration, although Mia has actually been acting for years.

Back in 2021, Kate opened up about her daughter's acting career, explaining that she had been able to slip "right under the radar" because of her different last name.

"The people who cast her had absolutely no idea she was my daughter. And, of course, that was my biggest fear," Kate said of Mia's first role in the thriller Shadows.

Now that they've gotten the chance to work together, Kate says she was "just so blown away" by her daughter — and she didn't need her help at all!
