The Duchess of Cambridge is keeping her three children close to her heart.

On Tuesday, Duchess Kate paid both an in-person and virtual visit to parents who have helped spearhead family-focused support initiatives amid the coronavirus pandemic. During her visits, the duchess wore a new piece of jewelry that held a sentimental message about her own family.

The dainty gold chainlink necklace features three dangling charms engraved with the letters "C", "G," and "L." The initials are an ode to the duchess' three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis— whom she shares with her husband, Prince William. She layered the piece with a chain necklace by Spells of Love.

Along with her gold jewelry, Kate opted for more casual attire when she met with parents today at Battersea Park in London. She wore a white top by Ralph Lauren, mauve high-waist trousers, and her favorite white canvas sneakers by Superga. During the visit, the duchess met with representatives and volunteers from eight different organizations that have provided families with advice, emotional support, and guidance on using public services amid the ongoing pandemic.

In a separate video chat meeting, Kate applauded parents who have helped create support systems for their communities during such an uncertain time.

"A huge well done to all of you, I know there’s a big team of you out there in communities across the country,” she said during the call from her Kensington Palace home. "Both William and I hear about how vital these relationships are to families—they’re a real lifeline. So to you and your army of volunteers out there, a huge well done. I, like you, would love to see peer-to-peer support more embedded and celebrated in communities and society as a whole."
