Kate Middleton has nailed Royal Ascot style once again. The annual, multi-day event comes with a notoriously strict dress code-and over the relatively short time she's been attending, Kate has offered a masterclass in navigating it.

Today, Kate wore a semi-sheer dress, which appears to be by Elie Saab. She paired the outfit with a wide-brimmed hat, which featured a sculptural floral element. Blue earrings finished off the monochrome look.

Royal watchers have been able to see quite a bit of Kate in the last few weeks. Just yesterday, she made an appearance at the Royal of the Garter ceremony, standing alongside several other European royals-Spain's Queen Letizia and the Netherlands' Queen Maxima among them. The Duchess opted to wear a white collared dress with black accents, paired with a black hat, pearl earrings, and black pumps.

It was very different from her sartorial choice for Trooping the Colour, which featured a buttercup yellow coatdress by Alexander McQueen, and a matching hat from Philip Treacy.

The Duchess has had a few opportunities lately to dress down, too. When she and Prince William traveled to Cumbria, a region in the north of England, the itinerary was more farms and sheep than carriages and waving. Kate didn't hesitate to don an outdoorsy jacket, jeans, and Chloé boots to meet locals in Keswick-or to shear a sheep at a traditional mountainside farm.

Kate wore a near-identical look for her recent appearance on BBC children's show Blue Peter. She also got her hands dirty then, as she helped schoolchildren look for wildlife in a pond. She said the activity was "massively up my street."
