Kate Middleton Unveils New Children’s Playground
Kate Middleton is giving back to the community by drawing inspiration from her first-ever garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, is set to open her Back to Nature garden at RHS Wisley in Surrey, England, which is based on the namesake exhibit she co-designed for the five-day event earlier this year.
Unlike the original garden, the new one will feature a one-of-a-kind wooden treehouse that Middleton’s three children—Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (4) and Prince Louis (1)—will surely love.
It’s important to point out that this isn’t any ordinary structure you’d see in your neighbor’s backyard. According to the photo obtained by The Mirror, the bird’s nest-like treehouse doubles as a full-blown play area, featuring a swing, a sandpit and a hut that is shaped like a hedgehog. It’s designed to encourage children to embrace their natural surroundings, and we’d do anything to be a kid again.
Middleton’s Back to Nature garden originally debuted back in May at the Chelsea Flower Show. The duchess co-designed the garden on behalf of the Royal Horticultural Society alongside Andrée Davies and Adam White of Davies White Landscape Architects. The purpose was to highlight the benefits of the outdoors on mental and physical well-being.
