Duchess of Cambridge wears green midi dress at Tusk Awards reception

Last night, the Duchess of Cambridge pulled out last-minute from the Tusk Conversation Awards. A Kensington Palace spokesperson explained: “The duchess is no longer able to attend the Tusk awards due to the children.”

While the Duke of Cambridge attended the event in London solo, that didn’t stop the duchess from meeting the Tusk Awards nominees and finalists at a private reception at Kensington Palace prior to the evening event.

"Earlier today, Catherine and I spent some time with the #TuskAwards nominees and finalists. Their bravery, single-minded determination, and commitment to African conservation is deeply deeply humbling,” the Duke of Cambridge captioned an image on the Kensington Palace Twitter page.

For the occasion Kate wore a long-sleeved midi dress, perfect for the current autumnal weather. The 37 year old was first seen in the dress in January 2019 at the launch of national support line Family Action.

The olive green number was custom made by British brand, Beulah London.

The dress was a slightly modified version of the brand’s ready-to-wear Yahvi Olive dress, which is still available to buy for £550.

While Kate’s featured the addition of a matching belt, the Yahvi dress boasts added details, such as statement sleeves and elegant button detail on the flattering pleated skirt.

Keeping the look tonal, the mum-of-three paired the look with olive green shoes by Gianvito Rossi.
