Kate Middleton and Prince William just made one of their first joint appearances since entering quarantine back in March.

As COVID-19 lockdown lifts in the U.K., the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended afternoon tea at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn for the 72nd anniversary of the National Health Service, according to a Kensington Royal press release. They also took a moment to thank medical, catering, and operational staff who have been working throughout the ongoing coronavirus pandemic

“Today we mark the 72nd birthday of the NHS, in a year when it was needed more than ever as the nation responds to COVID-19,” read the caption on the Kensington Royal’s latest Instagram account. “Today, The Duke and Duchess visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn to thank staff for their efforts in helping their community.

“Whether you are existing staff, former staff members who came out of retirement, volunteers or key workers,” the message continued. We thank you for the resilience, perseverance and hope you’ve shown our nation."

The royal couple both wore “NHS blue” in honor of the organization. According to the Daily Mail, the color is “synonymous” with the National Health Service. Per Harper’s Bazaar, Kate Middleton dressed in Beulah London’s sold-out Shalini floral-print silk midi dress with simple Patrick Mavros earrings.

This is not Middleton’s first visit to a medical facility in recent weeks. Toward the end of June, the duchess paid a visit to a children’s hospice to plant a garden “that will provide enjoyment for children and families,” according to the Kensington Palace Instagram statement.

“The care and the nurture that you provide children and families in the most unimaginable circumstances is just awe-inspiring,” Middleton said in a special message. “I’d also like to pay tribute to all those families out there who are caring for and looking after a child with a life-limiting illness. You do the most extraordinary job, and I know it’s particularly hard at the moment, so my thoughts go out to you all.”
