Today, Prince William and Kate Middleton took in the Royal Variety Performance together at the Palladium Theatre in London, England. The event supports the Royal Variety Charity, of which Queen Elizabeth II is a patron; and for their night out together, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went for coordinated looks that embodied timeless glamour.
Middleton chose one of her favorite designers for the evening occasion—that being Alexander McQueen, the Sarah Burton-led label that designed her wedding dress. This latest creation was a vampy black lace design, with a floor-length hem, long sleeves, and a sweetheart neckline (a departure for the Duchess, as the look’s darkly romantic undertone sits outside her usual aesthetic). She then accessorized it with dangling Erdem earrings and her favourite shoe, a classic pointed pump by Jimmy Choo.
To complement his wife, Prince William chose an understated tuxedo that hit all the right notes: a crisp white shirt, just-right bow tie, and a classic pair of black oxfords. This latest perfectly balanced couples look? Consider it yet another winning fashion moment for the stylish royals.
