How Kate Middleton is preparing to become Queen

She’s one of the most popular members of the royal family and it seems Kate Middleton is already gearing up to become Queen.

The 36-year-old Duchess of Cambridge, whose husband, Prince William, is second in line to take over the British throne, has just returned from maternity leave, after giving birth in April to Prince Louis.

And according to royal experts, there’s subtle signs the Duchess is preparing for a more prominent role in the monarchy.

“A couple of years ago, you might have seen her being a little bit timid,” Susan E. Kelley, owner and editor of What Kate Wore told Vanity Fair.

“Now, she seems like she’s in a more take-charge position. I’m beginning to see the person who’s going to be queen emerging.”

Kaitlin Menza, co-host of the royal-focused podcast, Royally Obsessed, also told the publication she believes Kate has ‘come back with a bang’ from maternity leave’ and believes she wants everyone to know that while Meghan Markle may have been the talk of the town for months, she’s now back to rule the roost.

Indeed, the mum-of-three has been involved in a string of engagements since she came back from maternity leave.

Her first official visit was to Sayers Forest School and Wildlife Garden o October 2nd in London.

Just last weekend, the Duchess made headlines all over the world when she appeared on the balcony at a Remembrance Day service and stood right beside the Queen. It was seen by many as a strong sign from the Queen that she sees Kate as a main member of the royal family. Photo: Getty Images

Then, just a few days later on October 9 she made her way to the Global Ministerial Health Summit in London and one day later she was spotted at the opening of the V&A Photography Centre at Victoria & Albert Museum

The Duchess was also seen on October 12 at Princess Eugenie’s wedding and on October 30th at the Basildon Sporting Village with Prince William.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle was placed on a completely different balcony to the Queen, Camilla and Kate Middleton.

Many saw this as a royal snub, with the Duchess appearing upset as she stood alongside the German president’s wife.
