- Sisters-in-law Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle "talk and text regularly," according to royal reporter Caroline Durand.
- Despite rumors of tensions between the two duchesses, they've "become closer" following Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry's wedding.
- People previously reported that motherhood has brought the two together.
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's relationship behind the scenes is a lot more normal than you think. When they're not attending polo matches or watching Wimbledon games together, the two duchesses frequently talk and text, just like any other pair of sisters-in-law. Apparently, the fact that they're now both moms helped bring them closer together.
"Kate was a great source of support to Meghan in the days leading up to Archie’s birth and, despite reports of a rift, they are family and have a really lovely friendship," royal reporter Carolyn Durand told Hello! magazine, per Marie Claire.
"They talk and text regularly, they have more in common and Kate has wanted to make sure Meghan has felt welcomed to the family," Durand added. We wonder if these correspondences take place outside of the famous (but private) royal family group chat.
People similarly reported last week that Meghan and Kate's bond is "strengthening," and that they were "genuine and sweet together" at Wimbledon earlier this month, according to a source. Kate had even consoled Meghan when her friend and tennis champ, Serena Williams, lost in the women's final.
"It illustrated a warm relationship between these women who have young babies and are in similar situations in their lives," royal commentator Victoria Arbiter told People at the time.
So, once again, those looking for a feud between these two royals should direct their focus elsewhere.
