There’s no denying that Kate Middleton has style. So, when the 37-year-old Duchess of Cambridge introduces a new accessory or outfit to her fashion retinue, we definitely take note.
We’ve seen Middleton out and about with Aspinal of London’s Midi Mayfair Bag ($775) on several occasions. She owns the top-handle bag in both lilac and black croc and, thanks to the Middleton effect, it has sold out numerous times. Now, the duchess’s tried and true purse is getting a mini makeover.
The new color range is priced at $775 each and is currently available for preorder. With the new options, there are now 11 different colors of K-Middy’s go-to handbag to choose from.
The Midi Mayfair bag is hand-crafted in Spain using Italian calf leather and finished with a refined shine. The bag features a prim silver lock, organized slots inside the bag and interior lining in the brand’s signature grosgrain. There’s also a detachable leather-plaited chain strap for easy wear if top-handle bags aren’t really your thing.
Middleton carried the black version of her go-to bag earlier this year during a visit to the Royal Opera House and wore it with a purple Oscar de la Renta ensemble. She paired her lilac one with a purple Emilia Wickstead dress at the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit after returning from maternity leave in October 2018 and again with a Gucci neck-bow blouse and Jigsaw trousers in March 2019.
Suffice it to say, we’ll be keeping an eye on this bag.
