Kate Middleton Goes All-Green and Elegant for St. Patrick’s Day

The Duchess of Cambridge, eight months pregnant, met the Irish Guards today with Prince William.

Dressed head-to-toe in dark green for the occasion, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton joined Prince William in wishing the Irish Guards top o’ the morning for St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday—handing out sprigs of shamrocks to the officers and warrant officers, and giving their mascot, an Irish wolfhound named Domhnall, a few scratches behind the ear.

Kate wore a green Catherine Walker coat trimmed with black fur cuffs and a collar, per People, and completed the look with a small green hat, black gloves, black tights, and suede pumps.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with the1st Battalion of the Guards regiment at their barracks in Hounslow, west London, where 350 troops—led by Domhnall—marched out to celebrate the occasion. Afterward, the royal couple celebrated with a pint of Guinness for him and a glass of water for the eight-months-pregnant Kate, who is expecting her third child this April.
