Kate Middleton's image was allegedly used by a plastic surgery clinic used by Sarah Ferguson to advertise face lifts on its Instagram account.

Dr Gabriela Clinic, based in Harley Street, London, shared an image of the Duchess of Cambridge from 2012 alongside another taken two years later at Wimbledon, according to the Mirror.

The post was shared along with the caption, “Imagination of natural look. We are doing procedures that you look like fresh you.”

Last month, the clinic shared an image of Sarah Ferguson which pointed to all the procedures she has had done along with the caption: "Amazing woman Sarah Ferguson is talking to Daily Mail about skin health at 60!"

The Duchess of York has admitted to having procedures done to her face and last week revealed that she underwent a laser facelift at the Gabriela clinic.

In a video posted on Instagram by Dr Gabriela Mercik, whom the duchess calls “Dr G”, Sarah praised her for calming her every time she walks through the door for a "top up".

She said: “Certainly when I come into Dr G’s practice here I always come in like a hurricane.

The Queens' former communications secretary Ingrid Seward told The Mirror: "What is so blatantly awful in using these images is that prospective clients may be inclined to think that Kate has had a laser facelift or other treatment from this company when she most certainly has not.

“This appears to be a very ill-thought-out campaign by one of the many, many skin doctors that set themselves up in Harley Street."

When the clinic was alerted to the photos of Kate, they removed them from their Instagram page.

"There was no intention to cause any offence and the post including images of the Duchess of Cambridge will be removed from our Instagram page,"the clinic said in a statement.

Dickie Arbiter, the Queen’s former communications secretary told the paper: “This is just another embarrassing example of Sarah Ferguson’s association with the royal family. Her questionable activities are largely ignored.

“She is not a member of the Royal Family, she ceased to be that in 1996, and since then she has been using all sorts of ways to make money.”
