Kate Middleton’s Dublin Hatband Cost Only $75 (But You Can Get a Similar Version for Less)

Kate Middleton recently stepped out in Dublin wearing a chic velvet hatband, and while it’s surprisingly affordable compared to some of her other accessories, we found a similar version that’s even cheaper. Cha-ching!

Yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge, 38, arrived in Ireland for her three-day tour with her husband, Prince William. Middleton wore a green Alessandra Rich frock and a Catherine Walker coat, which she accessorized with a hatband by Lele Sadoughi.

Middleton is wearing the Jet Velvet Padded Headband, which retails for $75. The hatband features the brand’s classic Alice shape, along with interior padding for extra comfort.

If $75 seems too steep for an accessory, we found a similar version that costs slightly less—$65. The Slim Jet Padded Headband is the same exact Alice style with a slightly smaller width, making it an ideal option for fine hair.

It’s important to point out that Middleton is also sporting a shorter hairdo in Ireland. The royal’s bouncy blowout is about two inches shorter than when she stepped out for a date night at Dear Evan Hansen in late February. Although the headband camouflages the cut, we fully support fresh ends.

If you need us, we’ll be snagging a hatband before the Middleton Effect kicks in.
