Kate Middleton might be heading to the small screen, and no, this is not a drill.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, reportedly met with BBC earlier this week to discuss an all-new project. Although details about the get-together have yet to be revealed, many believe Middleton is working on a secret TV show.
It all started when royal correspondent Richard Eden discussed the matter with The Daily Mail, saying, “Kate held private talks with BBC director-general Tony Hall at Broadcasting House in London on Thursday.”
Eden went on to explain that it likely involved her joint charity with Prince William, The Royal Foundation. “Kensington Palace points out that the Duchess met Lord Hall in her capacity as patron of the Royal Foundation, so any project would be for charity,” he added.
So, why is Middleton partnering with BBC? We’re not entirely sure, though many believe the duchess is developing some sort of an informational documentary. Not only is she a dedicated philanthropist, but she also appeared in a mental health PSA back in 2017, which left us wanting more.
Middleton wouldn’t be the first member of the royal family to develop a TV show. In fact, Prince Harry recently teamed up with Oprah Winfrey for an all-new documentary series with Apple TV+.
