Kate Hudson is truly a national treasure. In case you didn't know, her mom is the iconic actor Goldie Hawn, who rose to fame on the NBC sketch comedy program Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In before going on to receive the Academy Award *and* Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Cactus Flower. Kate herself has racked up a slew of awards too, from a Golden Globe to a Critics' Choice Award, and her ranges from mega-hit rom-coms like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Almost Famous to captivating indie films.

TL;DR: Kate was legit born to be a star! And with great stardom come great (like, really great) $$$ opps...or whatever the saying is. Let’s break down Kate Hudson's net worth, shall we?

Kate has been in *a lot* of movies

She made her film debut playing Skye Davidson in Desert Blue, which premiered in 1998—a year that must be truly wild for Addison Rae to grasp considering she called the 2003 Tom Ford dress she wore to the Met Gala last year vintage lol. Shortly after, Kate appeared in movies like 200 Cigarettes, Gossip, Dr. T & the Women, and About Adam. Her career breakthrough really came in 2000 though, when she played the titular character for Cameron Crowe’s semi-autobiographical dramedy Almost Famous. (FYI, she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film.)

Perhaps Kate's most notable role, though, came in 2003 when she starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Here's a pic of them at the premiere absolutely BEAMING for your viewing pleasure:

The film reportedly grossed over $100 million at the box office and resulted in the on-screen couple being cast alongside one another yet again in 2018's Fool's Gold, which was also a box office success. And you know what they say: Major box office successes mean major personal $$$. Other pretty epic movies you've def seen Kate in? Bride Wars with Anne Hathaway, which grossed $114 million globally, and a voice-over role in 2016's Kung Fu Panda 3, which grossed a whopping $521 million.

Let's not forget about her TV appearances

Kate played the role of Cassandra July in five episodes of Glee during its peak years from 2012 to 2013. Considering Lea Michelle and Matthew Morrison banked a cool $80,000 per episode as series regulars, it's safe to say Kate was hardly left penniless during her guest appearances. She even made a cameo on Erin and Sara Foster's reality show, Barely Famous in 2015. All that time = major $$$.

Her partnerships are *chef's kiss*

In 2018, the actor partnered with New York & Company in a multi-year deal to be the ambassador for its $200 million (yep, you read that right) Soho Jeans collection. That same year, she was also announced as a global ambassador for wellness company WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers). Other partnerships she's got under her belt are more fashion-forward. Case in point? Her campaign for luxury shoe designer Stuart Weitzman.

Also, hi, Fabletics is an empire?!

In 2013, Kate teamed up with two partners to launch athleisure brand Fabletics, which has since boomed into a global service that surpassed $500 million in annual revenue in 2020 and currently boasts over two million VIP members across ten countries. So, yeah...it's pretty legit. The brand has 22 retail stores and a new menswear line dubbed FL2.

Last year, the actor dished to Forbes about the business venture, musing:

“When we launched Fabletics, we wanted to build an inclusive community and create affordable collections that made people look and feel great. Over the years, we've continuously expanded our designs into categories other than leggings and tops—outerwear and gear, for example. But my goal at Fabletics has always been to build a brand that’s not only about performance and athleticism, but one that people can just live in.”

She also has a celeb alcohol line

Like many celebs we're also obsessed with, Kate decided to dip her toes into the liquor business with King St.—a woman-owned brand that crafts gluten-free vodka with alkaline water.

During a press event, the actor expanded on her decision to go into the space, noting:

“I get a lot of business opportunities, which I’m really grateful for, but this one was very interesting to me because there is such a huge white space for women in craft vodka—and vodka in particular is 56 percent consumed and bought by women. There’s a very small, amazing group of women in spirits, but it’s small. So that was really intriguing to me. As a female you are a disruptor in this space.”

Okay, we'll cheers to that!

^^Also, do these promo shots also make you wanna book a fancy brunch with the girls stat, or is that just me?

Kate released a number of books because why not?

In 2016, Kate published her first book, Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body. Fast-forward a year later to 2017, and she released her first cookbook, Pretty Fun: Creating and Celebrating a Lifetime of Tradition, which shows readers everything from how to plan parties and gatherings to what to serve at them. NGL, the cookbook has a truly amazing rating online, so I may or may not be currently adding it to my cart. Whoops!

Let's talk real estate

I'll begin by saying this: if all else fails, Kate can sell her homes and still be a millionaire—no biggie! In 2003, the actor paid a whopping $5.5 million for a home in L.A.'s Pacific Palisades neighborhood, and in June 2011 she paid $5.3 million for the home next door.

So what is Kate Hudson's total net worth?

That would be a casual $80 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. TBH, not even shocked. The mega-celeb has very clearly been busy slowly taking over the world for literal decades, so I can't even be mad about it!
