Kate Beckinsale Just Flashed Her Washboard Abs In The Cutest IG Pic With Her Cat

If you follow Kate Beckinsale on Instagram, you know that her cat, Clive, is her No. 1 BFF. Well, Clive is on the mend after a recent illness, and he’s already back to his usual routine: Posing for hilarious photos with his mom.

The 49-year-old actress just dropped a new snap on Instagram of Clive wearing a hoodie and chain necklace as she posed in the background. Clive is really the star of the show here (because, of course) but Kate posed in the background in a crop top and slouchy sweats, showing off her impressively toned abs in the process.

“Get up on this,” Kate joked in the caption. People cheered them both on in the comments. “Girl. That navel 🔥,” one wrote. “Looking bad@ss 😎,” another said.

This is hardly Clive’s first dress-up session with Kate at the helm. Exhibit A: He worked glitter makeup and a bunny onesie for Easter:

Of course, it’s hard to miss the fact that Kate is seriously strong and toned these days. If you're wondering what her usual health and wellness routines are, you've come to the right place. For starters, she works out with Brad Siskind, a trainer at celebrity fitness guru Gunnar Peterson’s gym, at least six times a week. Siskind told Women’s Health that she’s not messing around during those sessions. “The whole hour is work,” he said.

Kate also told WH that she’s learned to embrace exercise to help with her mental health. “I’m very connected to my body, so if I’m going to experience stress, I’m probably going to experience it physically,” she said. “So it’s usually a good idea for me to go do something physical to get rid of it. I kind of have to think of myself as a horse or something—time for a run around the paddock.”

Again, those workouts are no joke. Kate usually kicks things off with a compound exercises that work two muscle groups at once (think: bicep curls with a squat and sit-ups with combination punches). That’s followed by cardio intervals that last anywhere from 90 to 120 seconds on the rower or VersaClimber, before heading back to the same compound exercises. Kate wraps all that up with another cardio interval or one-legged pushes on a curved Skillmill treadmill.

As for her diet, Kate eats well, and while she used to be a vegetarian, she now eats chicken and fish, along with lots of veggies and grains.
