Kanye West Says He Has Made ‘Mistakes’ in Marriage to Kim Kardashian but Wants to ‘Restore’ It

On Wednesday, Kanye West attended the Los Angeles Mission's Annual Thanksgiving event in Skid Row and decided it was the perfect time to talk about how he wants his ex, Kim Kardashian, back in his life. While giving his speech to the assembled audience, PageSix says he explained he wants to “change the narrative.”
“The narrative God wants is to see that we can be redeemed in all these relationships. We've made mistakes. I've made mistakes. I've publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband,” said West. “But right now today, for whatever reason, I didn't know I was going to be standing right here. I didn't know I was gonna be in front of this mic, but I'm here to change the narrative.”
He went on to say that he won't be letting the networks that work on Keeping Up With the Kardashians or other Kardashian properties “write the narrative of his family” because he is “the priest of my own home.”
West continued, “I have to be next to my children as much as possible. So, when I’m out the house, I’ve got a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation. But I need to be back home... If the enemy can separate Kimye, there's going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is OK… but when God brings Kimye together, there's going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced to see that they can overcome the work of the separation, of trauma the devil has used to capitalize to keep people in misery while people step over homeless people to go to the Gucci store.”
Kardashian has recently been seen out with comedian Pete Davidson, who she had publicly acknowledged she is dating. He even celebrated his recent birthday with her in Los Angeles.
“Kim and Pete are dating and having a great time together,” a source told ET. “Pete is a romantic and goes out of his way to make Kim feel special. Kim thinks Pete is hysterical and he's constantly making her laugh, but they also have been connecting on a deeper level.”
The media mogul filed for divorce from West in February, after seven years of marriage and having four children together. They seemed to be cultivating a supportive friendship post break up, but another source has said she's “over the drama.”
“Kim and Kanye's co-parenting relationship and friendship changes almost daily depending on Kanye's mood,” they said. “One day he wants to get back together with Kim, and the next day he is blocking her number... Kim is over any drama.”
