Kanye West Emulates Sean Spicer on Easter Sunday

Kanye West and press secretary Sean Spicer both have an affinity for dressing up as the Easter bunny. For the second year in a row, West dusted off his bunny suit and spent the better part of Sunday standing outside in the Los Angeles heat letting North West and company pet his eyeballs. While his bunny look lacked any signature Kanye flair (you’d think he’d have custom Yeezy Boosts for the occasion), Kim Kardashian West revealed the man behind the ears in the clever Instagram caption “Dadye” along with two bunny emojis.

Unlike West, Spicer hasn’t put on a bunny costume since the Bush administration, but that hasn’t stopped his former gig from following him into his new White House role. Weeks before Easter, photos of Spicer wearing the suit surfaced on Twitter along with an interview he gave to the Washington Post in 2013 where he revealed that “early morning is key” when it comes to choosing the best time slot for dressing up. It gets too hot later in the day, which West has most likely learned.

This weekend, Saturday Night Live combined Spicer’s bunny past with his most recent startling gaffe saying Hitler never used chemical weapons in a sketch starring Melissa McCarthy. Spicer probably wishes he could go incognito right now, and Monday’s White House Easter egg roll could be the place to dust off the old bunny suit.
