Kamala Harris will be Biden’s running mate for the 2020 elections. Announcing the news, Biden said: “I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked Kamala Harris—a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants—as my running mate.”
It’s been a long wait for Biden’s running mate announcement. On March 15 he confirmed that he would select a woman to be his VP, and on July 21 he told MSNBC’s Joy Reid that four Black women were among the contenders.
