Kamala Harris joined Joe Biden on the campaign trail this week as the two set out to visit cities ahead of the Nov. 3 elections.
The presidential and vice-presidential candidates took their tour bus to Phoenix yesterday, stopping by local restaurants as well as meeting with Cindy McCain, wife of the late Sen. John McCain. For the eventful day, Harris kept up with her signature style in a checkered navy blazer layered over a black blouse and matching navy trousers.
On her feet, the United States Senator then opted for classic black pumps with a pointed-toe finish and smooth patent uppers; the style came set atop a tall stiletto heel for a lifted height boost to Harris’ 5-foot-2-inch frame.
The campaign trail has brought Sen. Harris everywhere across the country from Flint, Mich. to Raleigh, N.C to, most recently, Salt Lake City. The vice-presidential candidate joined former Utah Senator Scott Howell at the This Is the Place Monument this past weekend, learning about the site’s commemoration of the end of Mormon pioneers’ passage to Utah as well as the journeys of the early explorers of the West.
For the occasion, Harris opted for a twist on business casual style; the outfit teamed a printed blazer with a black top and skinny jeans as well as a matching monochromatic face mask.
The United States Senator then gave the outfit a more casual touch with her sneakers of choice. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette is one of the politician’s most beloved footwear styles. For this particular occasion, Harris opted for a low-top version of the classic sneakers in a relaxed black and white colorway. The style is known for its retro look with exposed stitching, textured outsole and contrasting toe cap, all accented with signature All Star logos and patches.
While Sen. Harris’ sneakers may resemble a normal Converse combination, the pair actually switches out the usual canvas uppers with smooth leather fabric, giving it a more glam appeal. The Chuck Taylor All Star Leather retails for $55 at Converse.com.
