Sen. Kamala Harris shared a precious moment with her niece amidst continuing election

On Wednesday, the vice presidential candidate’s niece, Meena Harris, posted a picture her daughter sitting on Kamala’s lap. She also shared a short video of their conversation, in which the 4-year-old seemed to need reassurance about her political aspirations.

“You could be president," Kamala said. “You could be president, but not right now. You have to be over the age of 35."

Meena captioned the video, “This conversation went on for like an hour.”

Celebrities and fans alike could not get enough of the sweet exchange.

“The cuuuuutest content on the internet,” journalist Elaine Welterot praised.

“Come on. My heart is going to explode,” actress Jurnee Smollett wrote.

“My heart there’s no love like an aunt’s love,” another commented, with yet another adding, “And as our VP she will inspire every little girl in America.”

Meena, who is a best-selling author and mother of two, is the daughter of Harris’ sister, Maya Harris. Earlier this week, Meena shared another heartwarming moment in which her daughters reunited with Harris in a loving embrace. The post also included a video of Harris turning away from a group of people to hug her great-niece again.

“They haven’t seen her in person since last year,” Meena captioned the photo.
