Just before their big proposal on The Bachelor season 27—the nurse gave a sweet speech about what her 'ship with the tech exec has meant to her. “With every kiss, with every laugh, and with every 'Hello, hello.' I'm so in love with you… I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” Kaity gushed during the finale. Cue: Zach's *chef's kiss* response before finally popping the question 💍. “I can no longer say I'm falling in love with you, because Kaity Lane, I am so in love with you!”

Yep! The couple moved in together in July 2023, and they look smitten as hell in their new apartment, per each of their Instagram posts commemorating the occasion:
"Officially roommates🏡😜🍾💛," Kaity wrote under the stunning photos taken by Marissa Moore.
A few months later, Zach posted an adorable pic sharing a cup of coffee with Kaity. Apparently, their new place came furnished, and honestly? I'm not not jealous. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Because Bachelor Nation never misses a thing, it was pieced together that, just before the first Bachelor episode airing, Kaity confirmed her love of Terry Black’s Barbecue to Axios Austin. Fast-forward to a March 2 episode of Click Bait With Bachelor Nation, and the Canada native mentioned the spot yet again: “I’m on a contract right now in Austin, and I love it here,” Kaity said of her travel nursing job. “I thought I was gonna be here for like, three to six months, but I was like, I love it here too much. I’m not going anywhere... There’s some good barbecue spots. There’s Franklin’s Barbecue, which is really good, and Terry Black’s Barbecue… I love Terry Black’s pork ribs. I could crush those, they’re so good.”
Upon the episode airing, Zach himself then took to Instagram to post this gem:
But, wait! That's not all. In the coming days after that, Kaity posted a Story of herself holding up a rib from Terry Black’s and smiling at the camera.
The math was mathing all along, people!

Reality Steve has already co-signed the theory that no wild drama has occurred between Zach and Kaity and they're likely still together both on and off camera—especially because distance doesn't seem to be an issue. In a March 2023 blog post, Steve wrote, “I mean, the fact they live in the same city and no one has to make some cross country move for the other is HUGE. Does it guarantee anything? Of course not. But they’re already off to a much better start than most previous couples from this show outside of Andi and Josh, who were both in Atlanta when she chose him.”
Plus, after catching up on rounds of press interviews celebrating the duo and the end of the season, Steve mentions, “According to Zach, [he and Kaity] are heading back to Austin and will be moving in together during the summer. That’s a definite better start than most of these couples.”
PSA: Don't expect Zach and Kaity to tie the knot any time soon
Yep, it appears as though Kaity and Zach want to take their time before they ~officially~ say “I do,” which, fair! “We have the rest of our lives together, so why does everything need to be a rush?” she said during an interview with People. “It doesn't.”
Even though they're taking their time, Kaity still has a few ideas about what a future wedding to Zach would look like. “I have really good relationships with quite a few of the girls, but I would say my closest that I could foresee being at the wedding would be Ariel [Frankel], for sure. She's been a huge supporter and always there for me throughout this. Gabi [Elnicki], her and I are really good friends. And Jess [Girod] and Mercedes [Northup] for sure. Those are my girls.”
