Kaia Gerber and Jacob Elordi have broken up

There must be something in the celebrity water right now, because Kaia Gerber and Jacob Elordi have apparently split after one year together.

Just days after Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello announced their break up, a report claims model Kaia, 20, and actor Jacob, 24, are also no longer together.

According to Page Six, the pair split on Thursday [18 November], but things are "amicable." It's not clear why they broke up, but Kaia has since deleted all trace of Jacob from her Instagram grid. Always quite telling, eh?

The couple were first linked in September 2020, when a source told E! News at the time, "They have many mutual friends and have hung out many times in the past. They both have very chill personalities and similar interests. Jacob makes Kaia laugh and her family adores him."

They later went Instagram official over Halloween 2020 while wearing matching outfits, before Jacob opened up about his "girlfriend" for the first time on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"My girlfriend, within a week of us dating, she cut it off," he said of his mullet in August 2021. "She took me to the bathroom and she got scissors out and she cut it off. She said, ‘You’re cute, but not that cute.’”

By September 2021, they went red carpet official at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

So far, neither Kaia or Jacob have spoken out about the split, but here's to hoping they're both doing OK!
