Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has shattered the all-time record for the most subscriptions by a Twitch streamer, surpassing the 300,000 mark for the first time in the platform's history. The previous record (283,000) was held by streamer-turned-YouTuber Ludwig in April 2021.

Cenat joined Twitch and began his streaming career in February 2021. In just two years, he was able to reach the unprecedented subscription number during his latest drive in which he broadcasted live for 30 days straight without pausing the stream. The "subathon" began on February 1, the first day of Black History month.

“This has been the hardest thing to do in my life and I’m glad I did it. We did it,” said Cenat on Tuesday. “Whatever you want to do, you can do it.”

Cenat is part of the YouTube group AMP and is known for his gaming and reaction content with frequent collab appearances with the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, IShowSpeed, Lil Baby, Ice Spice, and others. His subscribers currently pay $5 to $25 USD to subscribe and Twitch collects 50% of the payments from its partners.
