Justin Trudeau Shocks Teens by Photobombing Their Prom Photos

When a group of Vancouver teens were getting ready for their prom this weekend, we’re pretty sure they were thinking it would be a fun night, but we doubt they imagined it’d be world class. That’s exactly what happened to these guys as they posed for their selfies and group shots along the Vancouver waterfront — and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau happened to run by the group of teens.

Naturally, he posed for a group shot with the elated prom-goers, and the Canadian leader’s official photographer captured the moment for all.

The 45-year-old prime minister was on the country’s west coast for a series of meetings this week, including talks with Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and members of the Sikh and Filipino communities. His schedule brought him to Vancouver’s seawall for the now immortal moment with this group of Canadian teens.

And this isn’t the first time Trudeau has taken a moment out of his ministerial duties to grab a pic with regular folks — he famously photobombed a beach wedding last summer — which caused a similar social media meltdown. The Canadian leader certainly knows how to charm the public.
