Justin Bieber has yet another descriptor to add to his resume: bestselling Crocs designer. The "Intentions" singer released a line of limited edition shoes in collaboration with Crocs on Oct. 13, which sold out in a mere 90 minutes. The bright yellow clogs came outfitted with a number of pop art adornments, called Jibbitz, including a rainbow, pizza, bear, donut, sun, flower, lollipop, and the name "Drew" in two-toned yellow letters. They sold for $60 per pair, but are already appearing on eBay for more than double the price. The Crocs x Justin Bieber with Drew line—which is the pop star's middle name—was sold both through the Crocs website and Bieber's Drew House site. It was a major boon for the much-maligned footwear company. According to an Oct. 1 report from CNBC, Crocs' shares jumped 11 percent after Bieber teased the collaboration by posting a photo of a pair of Crocs floating in a swimming pool to his Instagram the same day.
But this isn't the first time Crocs has tapped a celebrity to create their own line with the brand; Post Malone, Bad Bunny, Luke Combs, Drew Barrymore, and Ruby Rose all have Crocs lines. When Bad Bunny's special-edition Crocs were released in September, the Latin pop star's product sold out in a mere 16 minutes, The New York Times reports. Rapper Post Malone's Crocs line, which came out in Dec. 2019, sold out in under two hours.
Artist Takashi Murakami and designers including Vera Bradley, Vivienne Tam, Christopher Kane, Anwar Carrots, and fashion house Liberty London have also collaborated with Crocs.
