There's nothing more awkward than a public calling out (just look at Ellen DeGeneres and Dakota Johnson). The latest celebrity interaction to go viral involves Justin Bieber asking Charlie Puth why he said "f*** you" to him on stage six years ago, and yeah, it's pretty uncomfortable.

While Taylor Swift and Kanye West and Khloé Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner have feuds that are pretty well documented, Charlie and Justin's falling out kind of slipped through the net.

During a 2016 show in Dallas, Charlie shouted to the crowd "F*** you, Justin Bieber", while performing the duet he shared with Bieber's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, 'We Don't Talk Anymore'.

While Justin didn't retaliate at the time, he has now shared a video on Instagram of him on FaceTime to Charlie, asking why he did it. "It hurt my feelings," JB says, to which Charlie replies, "You can't be serious. That wasn't real. That was like, a f***ing thing that completely blown out of proportion. Bro, I was being facetious. I was being completely sarcastic."

Charlie added, "I also can't tell if you're joking right now." Justin replied that he didn't "appreciate it", before bursting out laughing. He shared the video with the caption, "@charlieputh you know you had it coming 😂😂😂 "

At least it sounds like the pair have kissed and made up?

Back in 2017, Charlie addressed the insult on the Bizarre Life podcast, explaining, "There might have been a lot of emotion that night, a lot of thoughts going through my head and maybe just, sort of, maybe I shouldn't have said that. It's not really fair to him.

"We've come across each other since then and he posted that he liked my song 'Attention' on his Instagram, so we are good," he added.
