Free Fire developer Garena announced on Thursday (7 July) that they have secured a partnership with Canadian popstar Justin Bieber as part of the game's fifth anniversary celebrations.

As part of the celebration, Bieber will debut an exclusive track through Free Fire's first-ever in-game performance on 27 August.

Garena said that the event will be immersive and interactive, with players able to dance to the music using custom emotes, participate in minigames, and even perform alongside Justin Bieber's avatar on stage.

Aside from Justin Bieber's in-game performance, Free Fire's fifth anniversary celebration will bring back fan-favorite themed content and give away exclusive rewards.

There will also be a series of collaboration events and activities both in-game and out of it.

“I’m excited to partner with Garena Free Fire to have this opportunity to entertain my fans across the globe,” Bieber in a press release, adding that the collaboration allowed him and Garena to "explore various dimensions in which we can integrate my music with games".

"I can’t wait for everyone to enjoy what we have worked hard on behind the scenes," Bieber added

Free Fire is no stranger to collaborating with stars and celebrities from all over the world to produce songs for the game and its many events.

Some notable collaborations in the past featured K-pop group BTS, American DJ KSHMR, and Brazilian popstar Anitta.

Free Fire is also not the only game to have hosted in-game concerts featuring renown artists.

Fortnite: Battle Royale previously held concerts for American rapper Travis Scott and American popstar Ariana Grande while Roblox hosted a concert for Lil Nas X.
