Just Try To Not Fall In Love With Luke Bracey After Seeing These 9 Performances

There are many reasons to love Australian hunk Luke Bracey. He's a talented and versatile actor.

And those blonde waves? I mean, come on.

You can't.

You can't.

But don't take my word for it. Check out these nine performances and try and tell me you didn't swoon at least once.

1.Aaron (Dance Academy)

Luke Bracey in "Dance Academy" S1E23

That's right, we're diving deep into the IMDb for this one. Aaron is a recurring character that starts out as a bad boy. He convinces his buddy Christian to rob a store with him and then asks him to lie to the cops about his involvement. Not great. In the end, though, Aaron does the right thing and encourages Christian to tell the truth, despite the consequences to his own sentence, so Christian won't lose his position at the National Academy of Dance.

BTW, if you haven't watched Dance Academy and need a good high school drama in your life, it's an underrated classic and all the episodes are available for free on YouTube!

2.Riley (Monte Carlo)

Luke Bracey in "Monte Carlo"

I know I'm not alone in falling for Riley. I first watched this movie back in 2011 because I am a loyal Selenator, but I did not expect a very wholesome side-plot about her stepsister Meg (Leighton Meester) falling for an Australian backpacker (Bracey) as they bond about processing grief. This is the best romance of the movie by far, and I won't apologize for saying it!

3.Johnny Utah (Point Break, 2015)

A group of men stand in front of a car atop a cliff, looking seriously at something

This Point Break remake has some very impressive action sequences despite being controversial for fans of the original. Here's something we can all agree on: Luke Bracey's hair was MADE for a movie about surfing.

4.Smitty (Hacksaw Ridge)

A group of soldiers in training lie in a row with rifles

Hacksaw Ridge is the true story of Desmond Doss (Andrew Garfield), a pacifist combat medic known for saving many lives while refusing to carry or fire a weapon in World War II. Smitty, one of Desmond's squadmates, starts out as an antagonist who doesn't understand or respect Desmond's avoidance of weaponry. However, once Desmond proves himself a valuable and loyal soldier, Smitty leads the pack in accepting Desmond's views and befriending him. Clearly, I have a weakness for a bad boy with a secret soft side.

5.Jamie (Little Fires Everywhere)

Luke Bracey in "Little Fires Everywhere"

I don't want to spoil any part of this twisty series starring Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington if you haven't seen it. So all I'm going to say about this one is "I would have stayed in Paris," and when you watch, you can come back and agree with me.

6.Jackson (Holidate)

Luke Bracey in "Holidate"

The chemistry is PALPABLE in this 2020 rom-com. If you're wondering what a "holidate" is, it's somebody to bring to family functions and holiday soirees to avoid prying questions and judgments about their dating lives. Casual-to-a-fault Jackson might seem like a f-boy at first glance, but in truth, he just wanted to keep things casual until he knew he had found someone serious. I call that responsible dating!

7.Red (Violet)

Luke Bracey in "Violet"

Violet's Violet (Olivia Munn) struggles with a very loud inner voice telling her she's not good enough. So loud, in fact, it's voiced by Justin Thereaux. However, as she starts to reclaim her own life and confidence by not listening to The Voice, she's able to remove herself from toxic workplace relationships and instead pursue Red, her dreamy childhood friend. According to one review, Red is so charming and supportive, it's hard to believe he's single and available. I'm sold!

8.Jerry Schilling (Elvis)

Luke Bracey in "Elvis"

OK, fine, this might be a bit of a stretch. I'm not saying you're going to fall in love with Elvis's talent manager Jerry Schilling, per se. But I am saying you're going to see him and think "very few people can earnestly pull off that wig, and Luke Bracey is definitely one of them."

9.Jesse (One True Loves)

A man gets down on one knee to propose at the beach

If you somehow watched ALL of the above and still think "I'm not in love yet" (doubtful), then I know I can count on this ringer. In this upcoming adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid's hit novel, Jesse is the free-spirited travel photographer husband of Emma (Phillipa Soo) who literally survived on a deserted island for years just for the sole purpose of coming back to his one true love. The problem? Emma has a new fiancé (Simu Liu).
